Jack Nicholson played the role as Garrett Breedlove in films "Terms of Endearment" and its sequel "The Evening Star".
In 1983 film "Terms of Endearment" Jack Nicholson played the role of retired astronaut Garrett Breedlove which he won in the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award , and New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 1996, a sequel called "The Evening Star" was filmed featuring MacLaine who reprises the role of Aurora Greenway and Nicholson reprising the role of retired astronaut Garrett Breedlove .
Terms of Endearment is a 1983 American drama film and romantic comedy. It tells the story of a mother and daughter whose relationship is tense at best. The movie was adapted by James L. Brooks from the novel by Larry McMurtry.
