Pittsburgh is in the mountains of western Pennsylvania, where the Allegehny and Monongohela Rivers meet to form the Ohio River.
Baltimore is on Chesapeake Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. It is in the state of Maryland, just a small distance east of Washington, D.C.
Philadelphia is near the mouth of the Delaware River. It is in the state of Pennsylvania, across the river from New Jersey and just a short distance southwest of New York City.
Virginia Beach is in southeastern Virginia in a metropolitan area that also includes Norfolk and Newport News. It is on the Atlantic coast.
