Using common sense, you can assume you can't use a check to buy anything online. The process of using a check implies a hard copy of paper. On an auction site, certain sellers may allow their customers to mail them checks, but other than that i don't see how you could use a check to pay for something online. My suggestion is to use a debit card, which takes money from the same place, your bank account.

Some sellers on ebay let you pay by check or money order. If you use a check, you have to wait until the check clears the sellers bank and then they send you the item you wanted.

I've tried to do that but it seems like the only thing these online stores want is a credit card. i havent tried using a bank card, so it may work.

I don't know about using a check, but if you want to purchase something on line at Wal*mart.com you can use a wal*mart gift card purchased from the store.
