I am heading there next week and i am not sure how much spending money to take... since i will be going out a lot in the evenings it would be good if i know how much the beers are going to cost :-)

Do a search on { bars Piran Slovenia tourist } to find lots of useful information. I like the Virtual Tourist reviews but watch the date of the entry as bars come and go!
As for money most places have ATM's these days , you can check this out on the Web too. The best UK card is the Nationwide Building Society Flexcard debit card as they don't charge a premium.

Inexpensive. There's a cracker opposite the Tartini statue in the main square. And another up by the church on the hill. Prosit!
