It depends on the time of the knock & how valuable it was to the team's victory.

On the basis of runs and average,Player 2 gets the award.

most important thing can be in what conditions those runs were scored and sometimes winning team get benefit .otherwise it must be player 2 for better avg and more runs as per the history of cricket.

What a dumb question. Isn't the man of the match decided based on his 'contribution' and not just his score. The opposition also makes a difference.
