Where is the news reportage on Afghanistan?

This is where al Quaeda HQ was (is?).
So why so little news?
What about bin Laden? Is he on the back burner, or off of the stove?

Let's hope "no news is good news". It's probably nearer the truth than when the media get in a feeding frenzy.
