However the Brain Training games on the DS do actually boast mental ability.

They can be.
It certainly gives for your memory a workout remembering all the different routes through a game like Resident Evil, or where all the pitfalls are in Tomb Raider.

video games are generally ment for kids for their enjoyment , not for 12 & above children
They are not at all brain enhancing so there is no need to think about it .

I think they can be, they have that brain training game on the Nintendo DS which works on areas of the brain and trains them to be more efficient.

i think there is alot of games that can teach you realy good hand eye cordanation then theres ones that r actuaily used for learning but not all games have the mind in mind!
