Has anyone ever made a hifi with a hard drive and a CD Rewriter store your CD on you stereo and make you own CDs, obviously the technology is there also it can play direct from an Ipod. OK I know people have computers that can do the same thing, but surely there is a market for both,

Yes, people have, and the systems are commonly known as jukeboxes. You can get them for your car and as a stackable Hi-Fi component and they've been around for about a decade. The CD burning thing is also available as a stackable Hi-Fi component. Sorry.

Yep. Phillips came out with a product last year. Not only did it have a HD to copy music onto...it also had a built in wireless connection to stream the music. They released a smaller recievre unit that you could place somewhere else...I think the reciever could also control the main unit....

It wa a bit pricey though....£600-700 pounds for the main unit. Not sure about the smaller one...
