The large transmission lines have been linked to an increase in certain types of cancers because of the electromagnictic waves.

Your television or microwave releases more energy to your house than the telephone or electric wires. There have been tests but none have ever found any evidence that points to transmission wires causing health problems.

There has been a lot of discussion about the detrimental health effects of high tension power lines near residential areas. However, nothing has been proven conclusively. As a comparison most commuter rail transportation uses high power overhead electric cable to power the train and I know of no one who has claimed that this was the cause of any illness. I myself have been commuting on electric powered commuter trains for 30 years and show no signs of it having harmed me.

As I understand it, the normal wires that connect you to the utilities are safe. Hope all is OK with your and your health.

if the wires are above ground and if a transformer is present to interfere with any pacemakers or other computerized devices.
