Would you define "structures" for me? Amino acids are the "building blocks" of protein. It doesn't matter how "good" something is that you put in your body, if you can't digest it...it'll kill you. One needs to be concerned with the "bio-availability" of the food or product that one consumes. Ground up "rock" vitamins and tablets are anywhere from 26-69% pure garbage! They have binders, fillers, excipients, lubricants, glues, and dyes in them, all of which are harmful to the taker! The "acid" test (no pun intended) is to take any tablet, and place it in enough 'white vinegar' to cover it, then see if it disolves in 30 minutes! If it does NOT, then take the vitamins back and get your money back or throw those things away! Some have iron in them in the form of "iron oxide" a.k.a. RUST! Calcium in the form of "calcium carbonate" which causes bone-spurs and is (like all the other ingredients) one of the cheapest, if not "the" cheapest quality of ingredients that can possibly be added to make up a vitamin!

Proteins are assembled by ribosomes. Depending on where the protein will be going, it may be assembled in the ER (endoplasmic reticuluum) or the cytosol. Proteins are packaged and prepared for export in the Golgi apparatus.
