Its sad to say this : Aid has been trickling to this land for over 40 years now but the region is infact so poor than it was decades back (check world bank records) Africa is a very unfortunate continent. The poorest people of this planet earth linfact live in that land.

I blame the donors. NO AID REACHES THE POOR. Money is diverted into the hands of political leaders and then thru workshops, and allowances, and fat salaries akin to those in the west. At the very end, a poor person gets really nothing. Their kids still learn in poorly constructed shools...near falling structures-because someone ate the money. No drugs in hospitals-

Its sad my friend..I come from Africa. I intend to leave and go to some place for the sake of my kids. The world is unjust.

Close to nothing reaches the poor in Africa. The saying "The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer," is more prevalent in Africa than anywhere else on earth. The rich embezzle all of their country's money and share out the aid they receive, "for the poor," among themselves and friends.

To answer the question, Africa has been condoned by the developed countries for years. When the rich DO find it in their hearts to bring out some aid and help out their fellow man, after all the protocols and politics of giving money out (going through Govt. bodies e.t.c) are done, little money is left. When that little money makes its way down to Africa, it is embezzled by the leadership.

Actually allot of the aid reaches Africa, the problem is... It's like throwing water trough a sift, they get, they take, they ask for more.
The people don’t want to work, because they getting everything for free, and you cant help people who doesn’t want to be help. Thats why it looks like there not getting the aid, but there getting it orait, don’t you worry about it.

Not enough in my opinion!!!
they have been collecting money for Africa for donkey years, years & years & years & nothing has been resolved so that says they get very little of the aid that is collected for them ...

I suspect nothing that comes from governments. Too much corruption to make any impact. Private and religious organizations actually do help the poor there.

Precious little actually filters down to the people. Ouy aid is intentionally given to puppet dictators that spend it on themselves and their cronies.

Not enough, unfortunately. Some people are thinking about the business, not the ones who need help. And it's really sad because usually they are the ones who could really help with the financial background they have.
