I want to go somewhere special with my hubby which is a bit dressier and upmarket. Where is good and what would the dress code be?

Hi there, I have just got back from Paris and went to the below and it was incredible. It's a boat ride up the Seine with "Bateaux Parisiens". Dress is quite smart, suit and tie for the men and woman in either dresses or similar smart outfits. The cost for us was 120 Euros each, for 3 courses of excellent food and plenty of fine wine. We had a great time there Very very memorable.

Extract from website we booked it through:
Bateaux Parisiens
Take your seat for the cruise of a lifetime, up and down the Seine through the heart of one of the most breathtaking and romantic cities in the world The glass-roofed Bateaux Parisiens set off from the foot of the Eiffel Tour, and you'll feel like you're in a movie from the moment you step on board. The decor is traditional and formal and the service fleet of foot. Lunch and dinner cruises are available, including wine and aperitifs, with choices that include starter of terrine of duck foie gras with gingerbread and fig puree, main course of pan-fried scallops with artichokes and wild herb sauce, and pud of apricot and violet clafoutis with apricot sauce. Entertainment included.

If you do book, they might not tell you but got to Quay 7 to register.

Any more info needed let me know.

We went to Paris for NYE a couple of years ago. Alot of the restaurants have a special NYE prix fixe menu including a couple of glasses of bubbly. I think it worked out about £100 for 2.

I'd pick somewhere close to the Champs Elysees as thats where most of the action centres on and it gets very busy and you need to be at the top (or bottom!) end - its the one furthest away from the Arc de Triumph anyway. Thats where the fireworks go off from.

Stick to black, it is the safest colour in Paris. As long as it is nicely cut and fits well, you won't stick out like a sore thumb. Have fun !
