I've never had any problems, and the doctor said it's okay. It's better when pregnant too..increased bloodflow down there makes it easier and quicker to achieve orgasm. About opening your cervix...well, it's possible if you have a family history of incompetent cervices, but not likely. I've been using a vibrator, my husband, and fingers since we found out, and if anything...it makes the pregnancy easier. With all the hormones going on, don't stay away from sex. The stress relief is a huge help.

I wouldn't stick anything up there that could harm the vaginal walls or cervix. But otherwise I'd say anything goes. Orgasm won't open your cervix. It will however produce oxytocin, which is a crucial hormone in normal labor. And the more oxytocin you produce, the more you're able to produce later. So it's a very good thing. It can be helpful during early labor too!

what do you think is going to happen to the fetus? shake out? if that were the case, that would be done by millions when the final trimester came around !!
its so protected deep inside, you arent to change a thing you would normally do. except your diet. you find yourself changing that to the good. relax.
the only thing i did hear more than once that i never researched and that was a man wasnt supposed to blow inside you while performing oral sex. maybe this can be an answer and a question in one. if you dont mind ? anyone on this ??

It can be healthy and stress relieving in an average pregnancy. Ask your obgyn or midwife if you are concerned. Make sure your hands and any toy you may use are clean. I use a condom on my toy, it helps me feel doubley safe, but I don't think it's necessary. If it hurts at all, I would say stop and try a different way of stimulating yourself. Avoid puffs of air (like from oral) or streams of water (like from a showerhead or douching).

i think it would not be advisable. sex during pregnancy (without any form of acrobatics lol) is okay and your doctor must give you a green light before you do this. with regards to vibrators, or any form of sex toys, i suggest not to do it. you might get a premature delivery/labor or what not.
