I have a forced are furnace. The blower fan runs all the time. I thought it might be the thermostat, but the burners still operate as they should, going on and off depending on the temperature I set it at.

The fan center relay is stuck and will not release and restore to the n/c or n/o position and holds the fan in the circuit it costs about 14-20 $ at the A/C supply house.

It could possibly be the limit switch, which senses the temperature inside the furnace. If this is stuck in the on position the blower will run continuous. It is usually located inside one of the panels, a small box with a removable cover. If you find it; check to see if it is in the on position when the furnace is not under fire.

IS the furnace situated in a room within a room, if it is the blowers are on because of the flue , to offset the build up of carbon monoxide, when they fit the blowers they sometimes put a micro switch on the door leading to the internal room if this door is left closed the blowers will run constantly if not you could have one fitted quite reasonably and it will fulfill the health and safety regs

The burners are doing their normal thing. Check the thermostat carefully and make sure no one turned the setting to "fan on". That will make the fan run and not stop.
