First of all the stove you have must be rated to burn coal as well as wood, I live in the Northeast and just ordered a ton of coal. I am getting 40 fifty pound bags as I don't have a place to store a dropped ton. It cost $250.00 per ton. This way I can carry in one bag at a time. I also live 2 blocks from a pallet repair factory and pick up a lot of broken hard wood pallets. Go on line and look up Anthracite dealers for you local. PS You shouldn't burn coal if the stove was not designed to. could lead to a severe house fire
