i went to a singing audition and was selected but the person told me i had to pay a sum of money about 800 dollars if i can still remember for the training course which will lead to a singing certificate.
it is not just skills i presume besides learning the karaoke way and free style way.

First and foremost, the ability to songwrite and sing well. Good poetry-writing along with melodic and harmonic construction are very important, as is stamina and the ability to accept rejection as you're submitting demos and such. Good luck!!

Hello!!!First of all you must have a singing voice!If you don't have the voice you can't go anywhere..Secondly you must believe in yourself 'cause without confidence you can't go on!Have faith and support your dream if you wanna be a singer or a singwriter!!I hope I'll here from you someday on TV or radio!!Haha...Serious!!!Go and don't be afraid of anything!!!!!(That's how you are gonna make your dream come true..)

I think the command on poetry, music and a good voice,stamina and daily practice of singing.
