Yes there is a huge possibility of becoming pregnant. I personally know one woman who had 2 more children AFTER her tubal. I had a tubal after my 2 kids were born, but every 7 years I also know enough to go back to the doctor to make sure everything is still tied up nicely and keeping me from getting pregnant again. Especially with a 15 and 12 year old, the last thing I need is a baby, until my kids get old enough to give me a grandchild.

Your chance of having an ectopic pregnancy after a tubal ligation is higher. Usually if you become pregnant, that is what it is, a tubal pregnancy. However in some cases, it can be that you are able to carry the baby to term.
Nothing except abstinence is 100% effective. Not even tubals or vasectomies. They can fail sometimes.
