Dont get confused by warrior right up above me...he is wrong...

1. A football field is marked in 1 yd increments and 5 yd increments. Every 5 yds the markings go all the across the width of the field, every 1 yd it goes just about 2 ft. across.

2. Catching a ball on the sideline...you need to get either a.) both feet inbounds b.) any body part down before going out of bounds (College is different, college is just 1 foot down)

3. Offensive player that jumps offsides means they are called for a false start. Defensive players that jump offsides are called for either a.) offsides if they do not touch an offensive player or b.) encroachment if they do touch an offensive player (a defensive player is allowed a chance to get back onsides before the ball is snapped if they dont touch an offensive player, offensive players are not allowed this luxury).

4) You can have as many as you want, but typically I have played flag football in 6-8 man teams.

1 An NFL football field is 120 yards long (100 yard of playing space plus 2 ten-yard end-zones) by 160 feet wide. Its length is marked every one yard by a hash mark, and every ten yards by a yard line.

2 You must have both feet inbounds and have control of the ball or its no catch. (in college rules, I believe only one foot is necessary.)

2a If a player is falling as he makes a catch, then one knee down in bounds counts as a catch.

3 In Flag Football, If either an offensive or the defensive player enters the "neutral zone" (the space directly above the football as it sits on the line of scrimmage) the penalty that is called is "encroachment" and is a 5 yard penalty. (see citation below)

4 Each flag football needs seven players, although a game game go on with five per side. Certain co-ed leagues require eight players.
