Exactly how does using tampons effect a pregnancy? I was unaware that I was pregnant when I used one a few weeks ago... i'm off of them now and using pads... But what is the likelihood of me losing the unborn if I used tampons for let's say 1 1/2 days... about 5-6 tampons?
I see my doctor tomorrow, just looking for a second opinion so that I can sleep well tonight before my appt. Thanks much.

All you idiots who say things like you don't get a period when you're pregnant obviously have never looked into the fact that it's TRUE. You can get a period while pregnant, it happens with 30% of pregnancies. Some women have it a little in the beginning, while others have it their entire pregnancy.
The reason why I aksed about tampons because there aren't websites out there that say it's okay. There are only websites out there that say DO NOT USE TAMPONS WHILE PREGNANT. So, I asked because my doctor is an idiot and I was curious.
Thanks for the input for those of you who know what you're talking about.

No worries. You and your baby will be fine. The tampon does not penetrate the placenta. Also, it is normal to have your period when pregnant in the beginning stages. Congrats!

don't worry...i did the same thing i didnt know i was prego and when i had my last period while i was i thought oh my period so i cant be prego so i will just use tampons...i used them the whole period and everything turned out fine

If you are Confirmed pregnant and there is bleeding, then you must call your doctor now. Bleeding could be a sign of big problems that need treatment...
