Try a vintage clothing store; you might also see if you can find someone who sews and has done so for a long time, to see if they might at least have patterns from that era. My mom and grandmother sewed for decades, and literally NEVER threw out a pattern.

Try going to a thrift store. Lots of old and funky clothes there.
