I'm off to London tomorrow with about 5 of my friends, we've got a whole day to fill but what to fill it with? We've already done all the obvious stuff - Oxford Circus, Leicester Square, Trafalgar, Bucks Palace, Chinatown, most of the free museums etc. but need something new!! Any suggestions?

the tate modern is great because its free very close to the thames so you can get an inexpensive boat ride. the tate also has the very large slide which would make a great talking point. seeing a band in camden is also great camden market is a must. for drinks id go to soho.

I'd agree with the recommendations for the Tate Modern and the London Eye.
Last time I went to London, we got a boat trip from Westminster up to Greenwich. It was really good - trip lasted about an hour and a half; got to see some great sights going up the Thames; had a pretty good commentary; then wandered round Greenwich which is really nice with a lot to see; got to stand on the meridian line; and then got the tube back through the middle of Canary Wharfe which was all quite impressive and different.
You get a discount on your ferry fare if you already have a day travelcard or Oyster card.

Have you been to the London Dungeon? It's a "museum of horror". But it's actually entertaining. They have live actors that interact with you as you go through the exhibits about the Great Plague, torture, and even Jack the Ripper. There's even a boat ride in the dark, but don't get too excited it lasts about 30 seconds. It's a bit cheesy but it's something different!

Have you been to Camden Town? Loads of Gothy Punky people, a market, vintage shops and pubs near the Loch and river.
I'd recommend it, it's so much fun.
I also like going to Regent Park and Hampstead Heath if the weather is nice.
The South Bank and a River boat cruise is also nice.

Go on the LONDON EYE (huge ferris wheel across the river from Big Ben), Westminster Abbey, and a night-time tour called the "Jack the Ripper" tour.
I'd love to go back to London with you -- I'm jealous! You'll have a BLAST !
