you dont actually " do an intercourse" but if you have intercourse the safest time would be while you have your period or after day 20 of your cycle....the safest way is abstinence and if that is not an option using contraception at any time is advised....not only to avoid pregnancy but to also avoid disease......

There is no safest time to have intercourse.

Regardless of when you do have intercourse you as well as your sex partner should be using some sort of contraception as well as a condom to protect yourselves from STD's, HIV/AIDS and unplanned pregnancy.

there are a lot of really good answers here. you should always use protection, there are things like unwanted pregnancies, and disease to worry about.
look at it this way, you are not only having sex with a person, but you are having sex with the past 20 or so partners they have had, you never ever know when a person is sick.
Look at pam anderson, has hep C, threw sexual contact!

1. When you are married to one another.
2. Other than that depends on what you want to achieve- getting pregnant or not. If you wish to avoid getting pregnant, aim for before ovulation and about 3 days after.
