All of the following countries have good safari spots.
South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi have a long and dry winter period from May to October, November to April is the wet season. Safaris in Botswana & Namibia can be very sensitive to seasonal changes depending upon what you'd like to see. But generally southern Africa conditions in November are Rainy. Wet season visits to these parks are recommended in order to witness the dramatic appearance of the pans at their driest and to experience the transformation to a water wonderland, and see the wildebeest and zebra migrations, in the wet season
In November the rains in Tanzania and Kenya will be light but still Wet weather does not affect you to see Wild animals it is infect drought times when you experience the least.
The following are rough guidelines but I strongly recommend that you obtain local advice during safari planning:

Well november is indeed the wet season in East Africa, so there will be quite some heavy rains during that time. Camping will be possible, but you will have some heavy pouring rain at that time. And it will also be hard to spot wildlife as the bush will be thicker, and much greener.
Botswana might have less rain, but the same goes for East Africa, it is the start of rain season.
But don't think that the rain season will ruin your safari, as nature is at its best growing and flourishing with all the water. The rain also comes fast and furious, but is gone just as quick as well. So there will be plenty of sunshine to enjoy as well. Wildlife is harder to spot, but that doesnt mean you will not see any.
Actually we will be posting an article on the weather in Africa soon, so you can read more on the best time to travel in africa as well. See the link below.

Generally is the short rain season in the East and Central side of Africa then. December is a much better time. Kenya will give you not only great beaches and also the Big 5 animals in their natural environment.

i went on safari to Kenya at the start of December. there was some rain but not alot. inland it isn't too hot either. make sure you don't camp alone. I reckon it would be pretty dangerous alone in that part of the world. I totally recommend Kenya for the safari side of things. i saw lots of wildlife. Make sure you have good mosquito repellant and get all your vaccines. malaria tablets too. have a good time.

Went to Tanzania and Kenya a couple of years ago, at this time of year. We did'nt get any rain whatsoever. We went with a company called Guerba, who were very very proffessional and they arranged for us to camp in the Serengeti. Probably the singularly most frighteneing event of my entire life, I loved it! Seems like all Serengeti denizans are nocturnal. I'd thoroughly recommend it!
