I have been searching for this thing and haven't found anything except of course what sparked me to search in the first place?

Wow, I used to have that and I spilled paint on it and tossed it out. Try looking under graphic novels or in relation to the card games Vampire, the Masquerade or "Jihad" as it was originally known. It should still be available at barnes and nobles. Small black book with a sort of skull on it.
