I have like a hundred favorite movies, but the most recent one I fell in love with is Gone with the Wind. Can you believe that I saw it just YESTERDAY??? But that 70 year-old movie transends time and is truly a classic. I recommend it. The misconception though that it's all about love story is wrong, because what I realized after I've seen it is that it's a beautiful novel of the 19th century. It's about the life of the rich people during that era, how war destroyed them, thus the title - the civilization "gone with the wind" after the war. And above all, it's about the issue of morality and character, which are very important to high society that time. Seeing that movie was like taking a journey back through time. I love it a lot. And I love the whole length of the movie. I would just wanna change the ending if I were the movie editor, I'd give it a happily ever after ending:)

At the moment it is pirates of the Caribbean at first I thought it looked really crap. But since Film Studies I have learnt to watch any movie. Anyway I love the story line, I especially like when, Captain Jack sparrow is on top of his boat and it starts sinking. Also when he says 'When I step once. Now I step again' During the sword fight he is so cocky.

My other favourite films are.
The sound of music
The little mermaid
Get over it
Beddazeled
Beauty and the Beast
High school musical.

I have several, True romance- I love where Pataricia Arquette says Do you like pie? but mostly I love how much their in love, the passionate, I'd die without you kind. Also four rooms was great, I enjoyed the bizarre way it took place within the rooms, it has everything in it from comedy, drama, sexy people, and virgins, you don't see many virgins in Quinten Tarintino movies. I also really like both pirates of the carribean movies I think Johnnt Depp makes a great pirate,I laugh every time he says the keys ran away in #1. I also loved when he stated PIRATE to will smith after cheating, but that movie has lots of great one liners doesn't it!

My fav movie is STAR WARS-the empire strikes back. This movie is extra-ordinary right from the 1st scene till the last. The tremendous amount of creativity & innovation that George Lucas has put in to this classic blockbuster is unparalleled. In this movie, Lucas shows so many different types of aliens, robots, spacecrafts & fighting machines that u wonder whether he has the power of clairvoyance. The viewer will feel that George Lucas has seen things thousands of yrs from now and has made this movie keeping them in mind.

Hard to choose, but for me, I think it goes down to 2 options.

-Baz Luhrmann's "Moulin Rouge", it's beautifuly crafted as one of the most fantastic movies ever. It is the perfect example of all the Red Curtain Cinema principles, and the honesty of the underlying intention of the movie is fabulous. It is a perfectly balanced composition that supports itself so particularly well that you can't help but enjoy Baz's talented work and get lost in the extraordinary visuals and the powerful music.

-Alfonso Cuaron's "Great Expectations". The visual display in this movie is one of the things that drives me so crazy about it. The greenness of a movie where the story is so ironically about the lack of expectations vrs the great expectations. It's a perfectly crafted modern adaptation of a classic Dickens story.
The way Alfonso Cuaron exposes the characters and so clearly brings them to the XX Century environment and makes them so plausible, so real and honest. He exposes the true troubled people in the angle that lets you relate to them and see yourself in them and their troubles and traumas.

Both are astounding, and highly recommended to anyone who hasn't watched them.
