Right. I've spent half an hour untangling cables just to find the power supply to my graphics tablet, and it's an utter mess down there. (I also found a mouse - not a live one, but it was probably close - and a telephone and about 4 metres of ethernet cable I didn't know I had.

It's still a mess, but the graphics tablet is working...

Question is *how* does it get like that? It's not like I actively spend a portion of each day tangling things up for a laugh, or so that on a rainy Sunday I have something to do. I've already ruled out The Tangling Cable Goblin as my cat got him years ago.

(Noone mention cable ties please, I had an unfortunate incident with them, a stanley knife and electrocution once.

Oh, and happy Monday. :)

How nice! Happy monday to you too. As for the cables its a hopeless cause. Did you not know that in the cable factory before they leave they have to make a solemn oath to the cable king to mess up all humans heads by tangling. If they fail their mission they will fray and die!!! Its true !

I think we have cable fairies that decide to play havoc!!

I just looked at the back of the TV, DVD, Sky box , VCR and Stereo and Yes the cables are all twisted together. I had the same thing with cable ties. Good Question.

I'm afarid there's more than one cable tangling goblin, and they migrate from house to house. Cats can help, but it seems a bit cruel, they're quite friendly creatures, just a little mischievous. If you want to keep them away, smear all your cables in bat excrement, they hate that! Hope that helps!

What you ought to do, turn off the laptop, and take all of it aside, all the cables and so on. Then, one by way of one, connect each thing lower back up. i could advise utilising the Velcro, via fact in the adventure that your like all laptop geek, all of us make changes to the laptop somewhat in lots of cases, so it could be common to do with the Velcro. in case you do no longer do something like that, then use zip ties, yet bear in mind, each time you do might desire to alter something out or upload something, you will might desire to diminish them off and redo it.
