Has anyone got colustrum at 14 1/2 weeks into preganancy? I lost a baby in February at 5 months. Could that be the reason I'm getting it so early? its doesn't happen all the time, just very occasionally. Please advise.

Personally, my colostrum always came in during the beginning of the third trimester. (But with PG #2 and #3 I was still breastfeeding my older children, so I still had mature milk in early pregnancy.)

There is a wide range of normal reguarding leaking during pregnancy. It's normal for a mother to begin leaking colostrum at any point in pregnancy. It's also normal for a mother to not leak colostrum at all. Either mother can breastfeed successfully.

Odds are good that, since you have been PG before, your body is just remembering what to do quicker.

The ones who said it could be a sign of labor are wrong. When (if) you start leaking has nothing to do with when you go into labor.

i would tell that to my doctor.. it might be a sign that you are going to go into labor early.. there are meds that can stop you from having a baby too early if you catch it in time......
