I am trying to take all my CDs and rip them and put them into an achived database program so I can install a music bridge from my PC to my stereo and play music by catyagory etc. Does anyone have any good suggestions for the software to use for this project? Both the ripping software and the database program?

I would suggest iTunes for the database, I've been using it for years now and it's done me proud. You can also use it to rip the CD's but I would advise against that and suggest using the freeware program CDex. Make sure whatever you rip with, you're ripping to MP3 and a bitrate of 192kbit or higher.

Good luck

If you buy Windows media pro it will have all the features you need from ripping to database :)
