I do not think that nuns are exempt here in the UK. I do not believe that you can say a particular group of people are exempt from anything, it is my belief that even the queen can be arrested if she commits a crime.

In the UK, nuns; monks; Friars; Priests; Bishops; etc. are not exempt from being prosecuted for committing a crime.

Although they hold significant religious positions, they seem very unlikely to commit a crime. But this doesn't make them special.

The only person who cannot be prosecuted is the reigning monarch, who is HM The Queen Elizabeth II. Everyone else is liable.

NO ONE is exempt
The Laws were designed to make sure that no special class such as the rich or government officials could avoid punnishment for crimes.
If the president, a pauper , a millionaire commit a crime or get a traffic ticket they are treated the same.
The USA was founded to prevent opression from kings or government and to isure that each citizen was equal under the law.

Exempt from what? Certainly not from committing a crime, they are just as likely to get arrested for committing a crime than any other member of the public.

No they are not exempt in the USA. But they spend so much time helping people and praying they don't have much time to break the law.

No. If they break the law they go to jail. At least here in the US. In fact, they may be held to a far higher standard of judiciary misconduct because of their faith and beliefs
