if its the pill you should start taking it (every day) at least 2 months before you shag... morning after pill... well then its after you shag.

you should start the pill the very first day of a girl thing and keep continuing to take it the same time every day and it is not wise to have sex if you just started the pill if you do little accidents explodes into big accidents so wait until you are on the 2nd month of your pill so really rality take the pill first for one month before haveing those little accidents

You should take the pill at the same time each day.
eg: Put them on your bedside table and take one before you hope into bed each night so you dont forget.
You must take them at the same time each day otherwise they wont have the right affect and you risk pregnancy, you dont nesscerary have to take them before or after sex just at the same time daily.

If you're talking about birth control pill, then you take it every morning at approx the same time, every day - it doesnt matter if ur having sex or not - it also helps if you have heavy periods, although it does cause slight weight gain sometimes.
if you mean morning after pill (ONLY if the sex was unprotected and please do not plan this), take it STRAIGHT AFTER!!

if you are sexually active you must take them every night from the 5th night after mensturation begining but if you sometimes do that after sex and 12 hrs after that you must take every 3pills toghether. but if your partner use the candom or interupt himself it is better for you.
