Xia (c. 2200 - c. 1750 BC)
Not much is known about this first Chinese dynasty -- in fact, it until fairly recently, most historians thought that it was a myth. But the archeological record has proven them wrong, for the most part. What little is known indicates that the Xia had descended from a wide-spread Yellow River valley Neolithic culture known as the Longshan culture, famous for their black-lacquered pottery. Even though no known examples of Xia-era writing survive, they almost certainly had a writing system that was a precursor of the Shang dynasty's "oracle bones."

In China, the first political state was organized in the North by Shang Dynasty (c 1523 BC ). Shang Kings called themselves Sons of Heavens. A writing system with 2000 characters was already in use under the Shang. Iron tools and casting techniques were introduced in China c 500 BC.

if we believe that civilizations originated in areas surrounded by rivers and flood plains suitable for agriculture, and if we consider agriculture to be a necessary condition for civilizations to develop, then we could say that the first Chinese civilizations originated along the Rivers Yellow and Yangtze. These were the areas where signs of early cultivation of rice and millet were first found, dating to 9,000 B.C. by carbon-dating. we just do not know which dynasty it specifically developed into, but it is highly probable that the first Chinese people developed the concept of governance, organized community, written/spoken language, laws, and building of nations along the two said rivers
