You were a brat (past tense) but if he accepted your apology then it is over. Stop beating yourself up.
I have some less than stellar incidences in my past (most people do) but nothing that has stayed with me.

Oh Sweetie, there is nothing better than to see someone who has a remorse for something that they have done to another and is willing to admit they were wrong and apologize. You don't see this too often these days. But hun, its not you who should be apologizing. You have been through alot. I understand the loss of a parent and I too went off the deep end and experienced every emotion out there when my dad passed. Okay so this guy wasn't able to stand by your side through it. He left. Your better off, in the long run, although I understrand the need for attention, wheter it be positive or negative, a person just needs it when experiencing probly one of the biggest losses they'll ever feel, right? For him to know that you are in pain and for him to know that you "lost it" some due to your situations, and to then treat you this way in a public surrounding,or at all, is horrible. He should have maybe said "look I know your going through alot and I'm sorry. Wish u well", left it at that and the end. You should talk to someone though about your grief. Im serious. Im still very sad and angry and hurt, and my dads been gone 2 yrs. Get some help hun. Find a group that understands how u feel. You have morals and a conscience, and its refreshing, you will some day meet "the one", I promise you will. Talk to people though, okay? a pill for depresion will help, but if you dont talk about it too, u will just find yourself more depressed. take care and good luck

I still hurt when I think of the times I have hurt others, yes, even if I have apologized. Do I feel guilty ? Yes, if I am. Do I allow guilt to rule my mind ? No. I try to do better. Guilt is useless because it is a negative.

You obviously have no need to feel guilty as you have apologized and it takes a LOT to do that. However, I have felt that way before, so I understand how you feel. Try to see yourself as he probably sees you now. I'm sure that he doesn't even care anymore and thinks that you're an awesome person for caring so much about his feelings that you would apologize like that. Hope you feel better about yourself. :-)

yes, but there is nothing I can do to change it, so I try and live with it. Nothing to do with cheating/stealing/lying etc, it is very personal so I don't wish to post details here, but even though I know I am forgiven, I will never forgive myself.
