ok this ipod shufle is brand new and i have inserted it 4 the first time ... and it is beeing formated for 16 HOURS NOW !!!! ITS DRIVING ME NUTS. is this normal , how long does it need to be formated ???can i unplug it ?
please if you know ... tell me.

Yes, plug it out. You can also format it manually. Just make sure its FAT32.

That things probably messed up. Can't believe you let it go for 16 hours. There have been problem with some ipod nanos and may be shuffle too. I read reports about them just stop working (green or orange light and beeps) not long after purchase. Try getting replacement.

dude somethins wrong somewhere- 16 hours of anything isnt really normal hey?
if by formating u mean clearing the existing tracks - you could do by selecting all on the itunes widow (which i hope u got installed first) and jus right click and "remove". hope that helps or else mayb u should use ur warrenty buddy....goodluck.

If it takes THAT long to be formated,take it back-you got a bad one
