If you were injured at work (in the US), your employer is responsible for any medical bills and weekly compensation. Coverage is normally through Worker Compensation Insurance, issued by a recognized carrier. Employer has to prove negligence on the part of the employee to mitigate liability in total or in part.
When you were injured, was it serious?
Did you report it to a supervisor?
Did you complete an accident report?
Did you lose any worktime?
Contact the Human Resource Department, or your manager to determine if the company has Worker Comp. insurance. if not, you should get a competent Worker Compensation/ Personal Injury attorney and sue.

each situation is different and compensation is won according to the circumstances and specific injuries based on x-rays, anticipated recuperation time, how many years you will be injured in the future or for life, how much loss of money or income or quality of life for life, etc.

Theres one case you should consider, it's you verses them, since when has a company been responsible for somebodys unconsciousness? sounds like you, like the others are trying to blame them for your mishaps because your lights wernt on! and we wonder why insurance rates go up!
