Yes that's it. I'm getting fed up with Benitez changing the team for like the 90th-odd time. What's the deal with that? No wonder we're playing so badly we need the same players to play together week in week out.

they were never in the bloody title race. anyone with even an ounce of sense could have told you at the start they had no chance. for a start, they're too reliant on one player: gerrard. winning knock-out competitions is all good and well but liverpool don't have the class and consistency to win the title. i feel sorry for those idiots who at the start of the season said it would be between liverpool and chelsea. so many liverpool fans seem to be stuck in a time warp; they still think this is the 80s. i'm a man u fan and it's easy to see that it'll be between man u, chelsea and arsenal. currently arsenal are looking the best, just awesome. man u and chelsea are playing about as good as each other.
oh, and 'it's still early' isn't a valid excuse. we're almost a quarter of a way through the season. if these first 9 results had been your final 9 results then people would have been saying liverpool were dreadful and didn't stand a chance. it's time for some of their fans to get real

I'm not sure as there is still a long way to go Chelsea and man utd even arsenal will lose about 20 points through draws and loses and if Liverpool can put a good run together then there is always a chance it will help if they can beat the top teams

Yes, I believe they are, when taking into consideration that they do not have the players they had in the 1980s.
In December 1982, they were further behind in 12th Position & they won the 1st Division Championship on the final day of the season.
The problem Liverpool have is that they do not have strength in depth or Money to finance buying of players, compared to Man Utd & Chelsea.

I cant see how they can be out of the race already. Man Utd were quite far behind last year but clawed the points back to push Chelsea a little further than they expected.
As a football Manager I have to say you are not out of it until mathematically possible!

with the latest defeat to Manchester United 2-0 on Sunday, 22 October 2006, they are now 11 points adrift & there is no way Liverpool could catch up. by now, it's over & even if they start winning matches, they will probably finish in 3rd or 4th place.

We need some confidence, some away wins would be good for starters, some of our most influenceful players are needing a boost, Jamie, Stevie are both not playing up to their usual high standard, and as for Reina, well he's starting to look more and more like Grobbelaar, and not in a good way. Maybe it's time for Dudek. Time for regrouping.... We are not out of it yet!!!

I disagree with 'on the roof', I think they had every chance of winning the title. But with such a poor away form, unless a miracle happens, I believe its all over for us. I will be at Anfield on Wednesday, cheering the boys on. I just hope I'm not disapointed.

A few weeks ago Arsenal were ..... "Out of the title race" ..... because they had gone a few games without winning & were if I remember correctly in 17th place ..... now they are 4th .... so No Liverpool are not out of title race yet
