maybe a trademark of kai's face... well logically, i think it's permanent face paint or not permanent.. dunno, not sure.. but for sure, it's for kai's identification for over all the anime world..

Once kai saved ared indian from a tiger as a reward the red indan chief gave him ancool fether and painted some triangles on his face he liked those triangles ever since then kai started painting triangles on his face

im not sure but i think its a tatoo that's been with him since he was i child i mean in some flasbacks when he was a kid its been there^^
