If the BIOS says its an M 745 than its a M 745.I would be happy about that and say nothing
Lots of times the people who pack this laptops or desktop pcs they put in the wrong manual and they stick the wrong sticker,so my advice to you be quiet and keep the lap top. There could be just one problem concerning the warenty.Try and find out how that could be resolved

If CPU-Z says its Pentium M 745 (1.8 ghz) then it's that only. Maybe you have got the manual/sticker for Pentium M 735 (1.7 ghz).

Although processors have a definitive clock rating, this is not such the case that the processor must be run at that pace. Your machine is running the chip at an actual 1.80gHz, wheras the machine is only rated to 1.7, but capable of far more (with adequate cooling). There is a following for forcing processors to run faster than they are rated an this is generally reffered to as overclocking. Your machine however (as it is a laptop and set up by the factory) will be fine as it is.

Thus in short, your 1.7ghz processor is running at 1.8ghz

hope I helped

The manual is incorrect if the BIOS tells you that you have a M745 processor.
Sometimes, laptop and desktop manufacturers recycle their manuals. They just provide a generic manual which covers several laptops within a certain computer model line.

Truth is. The difference between 1.80Ghz & 1.70Ghz is 0.1 Ghz, there is not enough difference in speed to notice any changes.

Try to enjoy your laptop without all the specs verification.

Me and several of my friends all got Toshibas in August. Mine has a 1.8, while one of my friends who has a different model is listed as 1.69 (which is 1.7) so I dunno... Either the sticker is wrong or one's rounded up the speed and one's rounded down the speed, while listing it. :-)
