By watching last one year cricket, I feel the most impressive (and unlucky too) opening bowler in the Indian squad is Sreesanth. If the fielders could have taken at least one third of the chances created by him, the picture of Indian bowling would have different now. In all matches we have seen at least a couple of chances have been dropped off Sreesanth in the opening overs and that resulted the domination of that batsmen.
Zaheerkhan is another unlucky bowler who definitely would have been included in the squad.
The other two may be Agarkar and Munaf Patel for the time being.

In my opinion, the best opening combination is Munaf Patel & Zaheer Khan (right & left arm). Other 3 medium pacers should be Irfan Pathan, Sreesanth & either of Ashish Nehra or L. Balaji. These 5 bowlers are the best bet for India in the World Cup.

i would go in for irfan pathan. he may be having a bad form now but he has stupendous potential.

Munaf Patel and Sreesanth.
I think Pathan can be the best opening bowler if he has a positive attitude when he goes out to bowl and i think that can only happen if he is not scared of losing his place in the Indian XI.
