how can I copy the text in a command window?

1) Right click on the title bar of your command window.
2) choose properties.
3) In the options tab, ensure the quick edit box is checked.
4) Click OK and Ok again.

Using the left click of your mouse select the portion which you wanted to copy from the command window and then click the right mouse button. This copies everything to the clipboard.
To paste in any editor press Ctrl+V or if you want to past it on the commad window then just press the right button of your mouse.

To copy text from a command prompt window

1.Open Command Prompt

2.Right-click the title bar of the command prompt window, point to Edit, and then click Mark.

3.Click the beginning of the text you want to copy.

4.Press and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the end of the text you want to copy (or you can click and drag the cursor to select the text).

5.Right-click the title bar, point to Edit, and then click Copy.

6.Position the cursor where you want the text to be inserted:


In an MS-DOS-based program, or in a command prompt window, right-click the title bar, point to Edit, and then click Paste.

In a Windows-based program, click the Edit menu, and then click Paste.

When you are in a command window
left click on icon on top left of window
select edit from menu and choose mark
( or right click on dos window and select mark)
highlight text from using left mouse and when text is highlighted press the right mouse button.

Now all you do is right click select paste and the text you selected will be displayed
