The world we live in is MALE DOMINATED. Words like " gentlewoman; chairwoman" aren't used because in the minds of males they don't exist

The word chairwoman does exist as far as I know, I couldn't tell you about gentlewoman.

These are words. Just not commonly used. Try reading the National Review. They really know how to make up new words.

Because they're cumbersome to say, and akward to pronounce.

However, they are used in formal gatherings under the Rogers Rules of Order in the updated versions

bah...I hate to address this, its just so dam depleting heh...o well....they never use those those words because in my opinion they have no meaning anymore....you never hear the phrase "captain of industry" anymore either...because there truly are none...no one even knows what that is an its a dam shame...because this countries economy was built by men like Henry Ford, R.H Macy and men like Will Keith Kellogg...we may never see their kind again...

Because Lady is the equivelant of Gentlewoman e.g, when someones says Ladies & gentlemen...etc

there are words like that, but they are generally changed to masculine terms because males are more "importasized" during old times.. and male terms are the general ones...

If they do exist they fall into disuse because language and power is patriarchal, and this is self perpetuating.
