The world snooker championships trophy is named the John Pashley Cup. Named after the founder of sheffield wednesday.

It would have to be stephen hendry, this is because the 70s and 80s snooker players had a much different style of play compared to the modern players of today and whilst the modern players have been playing the older players have been winning nothing...but saying that steve davis has done very well to stay in the top 16 in this day and age.

Could it POSSIBLY be anything to do with snooker being played in Sheffield, and NOT on a Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri or Sat AND there being a football team of that surprisingly similar name there?
