Because you are considered the super power of the world. When a person, employer, parent, or political leader has power over others it is important that they do not abuse that power. For instance, abusive parent, child spends their adult life in therapy, abusive boss, employees dislike him or her, do not trust and job performance suffers. Americans have abused their power, therefore they have made a lot of enemies, and no one trusts them which is understandable. Anybody that is in a powerful position of any type has a responsibility to treat others with respect and dignity not destroy, otherwise the empire or person crumbles.

They SHOULD CARED. Because our government is spending MILLIONS of our tax to renovate America's image in the Muslim world along today. Did you know that the Bush administration was the FIRST ever to point a person to be in charge of rebuilding America's image to the world particularly to the Muslim world?.

Because we are a world power and leader. Not caring what other nations think of us(and acting like we don't give a damn) would put us squarely on the road to ruin. As a world power it is to our advantage to be leaders with beliefs in justice and humility to others.
Hitler and many others took their power in the opposite direction and landed smack on their a**.

Because America is just a little dot on this great big world, which is just a little dot in this great big galaxy, which is just a little dot in this great big universe. To be so ethnocentric that the opinions of others are dismissed as unimportant and inferior is very, very isolating and dangerous.

beacoz Amricans are human and more America is part of the same world that others are. If you want to stay global then you have to care about what the others have to stay or else you will stay secluded.

I don't care, and I am American. People have so much trash to talk about us, yet are so quick to accept our aide (food, clothing money). Maybe we should just withdraw all aid and see how they like us then.
