The schoolgirl who died was made pregnant by her schoolteacher, as the dead girl's father had suspected.
The boyfriend, suspected of killing her the dead girl was shot by his young niece, whilst hiding from the police in his sisters flat.
Dead girls schoolfriend Penny actually killed her friend by default as she was only trying to kill the baby she was carrying, because she had known that the father of the child, was in fact her own father, the scholteacher.
The last scene showed Jane Tennison electing to forego attending her leaving party, and she noticed,as she left the police headquarters. with a wry smile, a stripper in policemans uniform, an entertainment factor she had specifically not requested.

Sally, the head teacher's daughter that Tennyson had struck up a friendship with, was the killer. And the head teacher (dirty bugger) was the father of the dead girls baby.
Absolutely brilliant - I think Helen Mirren is the best actress in the world.
(PS Tennyson didn't die!)

well it was the last one and it turned out that it was the gurls friend thet killed her and her teacher had been havin a relationship with the gurl who was killed!!!
that was the last case and shi has got over here drinhk problem and retired

It was fab but I read that she was suppose to die, but she didnt! Girls friend killed her, she was a bit of a psycho.
