Bollywood is the Indian equivilant of Hollywood. It's India's biggest film industry and they actually make more films than Hollywood make.

It's India's answer to Hollywood. Not sure about Tollywood and other woods. Yes, they do rip off ideas from Hollywood big time. And they don't even change the plot even a little. Have seen a few movies that are exactly the same as the Hollywood versions. The only difference is that acting sucks really bad and there are loads more people in Indian versions. This is because they have to have like five or six songs in the movie where about a million people appear from nowhere and dance around the main characters. You should check it out sometime! Its loads of laughs.

Successful Indian cinema industry - a pun on Hollywood. What is Bollywood?
Bollywood is the nickname given to the Indian film industry - it's a play on the word Hollywood.
The B comes from Bombay (also known as Mumbai), a big city in India.

Bollywood is massive. It makes up to 800 films a year - twice as many as Hollywood and about 14 million Indian people go to the cinema everyday

Films are made so fast that sometimes actors on set shoot scenes for four different films at a time - using the same actors and the same backgrounds. And sometimes the scripts are even hand-written!
Lollywood (Urdu: لالیوُڈ, Hindi: लॉलीवुड) refers to the Pakistani film industry, based in the city of Lahore. The name is a conflation of Lahore and Hollywood.

Lollywood is also commonly referred to as "Urdu cinema", even though use of colloquial Hindi words is fairly common. (Linguists would call both Urdu and Hindi variants of Hindustani. This is a political debate; see the articles on the various languages/dialects.) There has been a growing presence of English in dialogues and songs as well. It is not uncommon to see movies which feature dialogues with English words and phrases, even whole sentences. A few movies are also made in two or even three languages (either using subtitles, or several soundtracks).
Tollywood (Telugu: టాలీవుడ్) refers to the Telugu language film industry. The name derives the concept from Hollywood, Telugu + Hollywood. Sometimes, the term Tollywood is also used to refer to the Bengali cinema industry as a mix of Tollygunge + Hollywood.
