Preikstollen, Norway.
A beautiful ferry ride, then bus journey to bottom of a path at the side of fjord. Climb 90min and you stand 800m above another fjord, on an area the size of 2 tennis courts. The drop is sheer and you can sit on the edge and swing your feet with nothing below...

I couldn't believe how beautiful the changing of leaves (in October) were in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Pictures can show it, but to walk through it, hiking, or driving is pretty impressive if you are on a low budget. If you have saved money to splurge, go to Bali if you want to experience another culture.
