dhoni could not make into the icc awards nominations because adam gilchrist and kumar sangakara had already been nominated
and it is an icc awards rule that only two wicketkeepers can be nominated and it is the icc panel and many other former players and media persons that do the voting.
dhoni has a very good potential to become one of the best all rounders (wicketkeeper/batsman) and he is not a pinch hitter by any means.

batsman like dhoni r not classic or evergreen.he is good only in his full flow,which he miss most of time.but when he starts no doubts he became a butcher.stiil no one can reach to the heights of DADA.his sixes,his off sides fours,his personality,his support for team is tremendous.

its one of those obvious mistakes made by the icc.he is currently no10 in batting,has an awesome average of 50+ and strike rate close to 95.He to me should have been shortlisted for the best batsman award.

Yea, it's a big mistake icc had done because he has average over 50 in odis and strik rate over 90.

dhoni is not a batsman.. he is a slogger.. thats why icc panel officials were confused and didnt select him... lol
by the way the people in the pnel are classic cricketers
eg: SUNIL GAVASKAR, ARJUNA RANATUNGA, CLIVE LLOYD AND ETC.

He should try getting fast runs against australian bowlers on their wickets then nobody will be in two minds whether he is good batsman or not.
