The majority of C-sections performed today are horizontal as the time require to heal is much less due to the fact that the incision follows the natural inclination of the underlying muscle tissue. Also, the scar is easier to conceal, making moms feel better about wearing a bathing suit after the surgery.

a vertical incision on the uterus is less preferred because you can not deliver your next baby by spontaneous vaginal delivery and have to do another c-section on the next pregnancy. A horizontal incicion or bikini cut is preferable because it hides the scar and is still possible to have a VBAC or vaginal birth after cesarean because the contractions would not affect the suture and cause it to tear unlike the vertical one...

probably in a case of emergency they would do a vertical or in the incident of multiple births becuase usually it is always horozonal

Horizntal is better I think. It is covered up by panties.
Vertical is easier. And probably is best for multiple-births.
