Often.
Perhaps even more disturbing, most drug dealers still live with their mothers. You see, folks get into dealing drugs because they see a few successful dealers and think they are going to hit the big time, much the way every kid in pee wee football thinks he's going to be in the NFL one day. But for every drug dealer who hits the big time, there are dozens more who can't even afford their own apartment.
In the end, you're better off staying in school.

i was a user of every drug you can think of. at the same time i also dealt herb, coke, meth, and every once in a short while pcp, and made well over a half a million in a year. now granted the whole time i dealt i was f'd up but no i'm not a drug addict. i have a drug free life in the army and have no urges to use again. so my opinion is it just depends on the person and there personality

Very often yes, but not always.
Those who are addicted will often get caught up in the pyramid selling approach, selling to others to make enough for themselves. Very, very often they come unstuck at some stage.
Those who supply large quantities are less likely to be addicts - treating it as business.
Very many people are exploited along the way, from the farmers who grow the initial crops (poppy, coca, weed), the "mules" (men and women) who swallow large amounts in order to smuggle drugs from one country to another and of course the addicts themselves.
The whole system is closely linked to war and weapons and creates vast sums for a very few and utter, abject misery for millions upon millions of others.

The street dealers, sure. The moneyed bosses, no. They are too smart to screw themselves up. They are only after the power, authority and luxury life that their profits buy them.

I think in most cases they are not. They know the full damage drugs do and would rather sell the damage to other people rather than take it themselves.

NO WAY.
Like someone sell rat poison they never taste it by them self.
Because they care about the money and they know exactly only idiots buy and use drugs.
