Obviously, there's something wrong with them like self confidence and putting people down is suppose to make them feel better about themselves. They need to put the shoe on the other foot and see how it feels.

Excellent question, I give you credit for asking. some people's self-esteem and self-worth is so low taht they look around at everyone else's flaw just to feel good about themselves. This may also be a sign of insecurity. If you are insecure you will make fun of people who are more confident to make your self look good and feel more secure about yourself. The last and final reason is that some people's life is so miserable they can't possibly fidn time to anything else make fun of others because they simply have no future so they choose to prey on people who do. An example of this type maybe a manager of a Mcdonald's who is 50 yrs old and you are 18, Their future is so bleak that they have to make fun of you just to kill time or to feel powerful. This would explain why "some" old people put down others

Maybe because at that very instant they feel good about themselves seeing the other person's fall in a way they intend to be... not seeing that they did the other person wrong. It makes them feel very proud knowing that they over-powered another person... as if they're on a higher ground than the other person. Thus, that good feeling rather blind them from seeing the bad things they've done to another person.

They don't care. People put others down because they have no self-esteem and they have to cut everyone down to lower than the way they perceive themselves.

Putting other people down makes them feel good about themselves. Basically they are very insecure and are energy vampires.

They lack empathy and introspection. Deep down they hate themselves but project that hatred onto other people..

Ego-junkies only see as far as their own ego.... they haven't evolved to the point where they can see how they appear from the other side of their own eyes.

They have to have a heart to care first..! Some get just as must joy hurting.....as others do caring.! Its twisted..but its true.!

It takes courage and compassion to LOVE THEY NEIGHBOUR. Not everyone has these wonderful traits.
