I think as for the time being we (human being) are the only and only one living species that far more intelligent than any other living species on Earth or as for your question, in the world ONLY, I think my answer will be Yes for your noble question, Sir.
Be that as it may, however, the right to live will be more to the other species other than us (human being) for most (not all) of us are tend to destroy and create chaos in this planet(earth) rather than preserving it.

As a species we already do, by way of our actions. We are at the top of the food chain. We terraform uninhabitable places so that we can live there. We are learning to overcome starvation and disease. At this point in time, civilizations may fall, but the survival of our species looks pretty good. We are too diverse, too clever, and too spread out for any disease to make us extinct. Ditto with global warming, despite what the hysterical enviros may say. Even ditto with nuclear war. I think the only way to make our species actually go extinct (not just lose civilization for a couple centuries) would be if a massive asteroid were to hit the planet sometime in the next century, before we can detect it or develop technology to deflect it. But the odds of that are very low, close to zero.
If on the other hand you intended your question to be political, as in the right to rule over all other humans in some form of world government, then I would say no. We already have way too much government as it is. As the saying goes, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Humans should be as free as possible, with only enough laws to protect us from each other when necessary. Anything beyond that is tyranny.

lol.. i'm sorry but.. what a question..whether humans have the rights or not to rule over the world... who are there to say that we're no suppose to? The strong and intelligent survive, the weaks die, they die, they extinct. That rule applies everywhere on the Earth, the same thing as for the animal kingdom and plant kingdom.

No, the world is the ruler over the Human being. I was in new orleans for CAT#5 of '05. I testify the world rules, we are merely inhabitants, very important ones...

The world is capable of surviving better by itself, with the least interference by humans, and that way, it would provide the best possible life experience to humans also !
